OUR BACKGROUND
Established in 2020, I founded Amy’s Animal Adventures as an animal rescue dedicated to giving neglected, unwanted and vulnerable animals a second chance. Today, I provide hands-on animal handling and educational experiences for all ages, with every event helping to raise funds for the animals in my care and allowing me to continue rescuing more animals in need.
Run by Amy herself, the experiences remain personal to you! No request is too big or too small!

Animal welfare is at the heart of what I do.
Whether you’re fascinated by reptiles, curious about insects, or simply love animals, I offer the chance to meet a wide variety of incredible species in a safe, hands-on environment. Every experience is tailored to suit your group, making it perfect for children, adults, schools, care homes, community groups and private events.
My aim is to inspire curiosity, encourage respect for animals, and share the stories behind the amazing rescue animals that have found a home with me. I believe the best way to learn about animals is by meeting them, asking questions, and experiencing them up close.
Every animal you meet is part of my rescue family and has their own unique story. Many have come from neglect, abandonment or unsuitable homes and have been given a second chance. By booking an experience with Amy’s Animal Adventures, you’re directly supporting the animals in my care.
Every penny goes towards their food, enrichment, veterinary treatment and ongoing care, while also helping me continue rescuing more animals in need.
Each handling and education session is priced individually as this makes sure you receive the best price possible. Our prices are extremely competitively priced and have yet to be beat.
The location is taken into account and if travel is needed, the number of people attending, how long you would like us there for, how many animals you’d like there and whether or not an extra person is needed for help.

We are available for any event and have recently been contacted regarding our animals being in the film industry - how exciting!
I always do my best to bring any animals you’ve requested, but there may be times when this isn’t possible if it’s not in the best interests of the animals or the safety of those attending.
Many of my animals go through natural shedding cycles, have specific feeding schedules, or simply need a quiet day to rest. During these times, I may choose not to bring them to an event to avoid causing unnecessary stress. Just like us, animals can have off days too, and their welfare will always come first.
During handling sessions, I reserve the right to remove an animal from the experience at any time if I feel the situation is becoming unsafe or causing unnecessary stress to the animal or the people handling them.
By booking an experience with Amy’s Animal Adventures, you understand that animals are living creatures with their own personalities, needs and behaviours.
While I always take every precaution to provide a safe and enjoyable experience, the welfare of my animals will always be my top priority, and this may occasionally mean substitutions or changes to the animals attending an event.
LEGALITIES
LICENSING
I am fully licensed and have passed premises inspection.
PVG
Myself and volunteers are fully PVG checked.
INSURANCE
All of our animals are insured and we have public liability insurance.
VETERIANRY NEEDS
All of the animals in my care are registered with Kintra Vet, a mobile veterinary practice that provides treatment from the comfort of their own home.
I also work for Kintra Vet as the Practice Manager and Practice Veterinary Nurse, meaning I have extensive experience caring for a wide variety of species. Should an emergency ever arise, the animals also have access to 24/7 veterinary care when needed.
