Pricing

My prices are based on:

• Your location

• The number of people attending the event

• How long you would like the session to last

Animals

​

I typically bring around 6 animals along to an event. However, as these are live animals, I cannot guarantee that we will get through all of the animals during the session. I will always do my best to make sure everyone gets to meet as many animals as possible within the time available.

I am always happy to try and accommodate requests for particular animals. However, animals can sometimes become unavailable at short notice due to illness, injury, stress, moulting or simply being in a particularly grumpy mood, just like us! 
 

The welfare of my animals always comes first. If a requested animal is unable to attend on the day, I will bring another suitable animal in their place wherever possible.

Hand Washing

Before your booking is confirmed, you must confirm that suitable hand-washing facilities will be available at the event and accessible to everyone who will be handling the animals.

I am happy to provide an appropriate hand-washing/disinfectant solution where required.

Hands must be washed thoroughly after handling the animals. This is an important part of preventing the spread of bacteria and disease. Some animals, particularly reptiles and amphibians, can carry bacteria such as Salmonella, which can be transferred through handling.

Venue Requirements

As much as we love our animals, they don’t always follow the rules! 
 

There may occasionally be accidents during a session, including animals urinating or defecating. The event must therefore take place in an area where any accidents can be easily cleaned and disinfected.

Children & Supervision

​

Children are very welcome at Amy’s Animal Adventures events! 
 

However, all children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Parents, guardians and accompanying adults remain responsible for the children in their care throughout the event.

​

I will provide guidance on how to safely interact with and handle the animals, but this does not replace appropriate adult supervision.

​

Children must follow my instructions when interacting with the animals. If a child is unable or unwilling to follow these instructions, I may ask them to stop handling an animal.

Animal Handling & Safety

​

Although incidents are very uncommon, it is important to remember that animals are unpredictable and may bite, scratch or otherwise react if they feel frightened, threatened or uncomfortable.

​

Before animals are handled, I will provide a short safety talk explaining how to interact with and handle the animals appropriately. All attendees must follow these instructions and any additional instructions given by me throughout the session.

​

Animal welfare and the safety of both the animals and attendees will always come first. If I feel that an animal is becoming stressed, an attendee is behaving inappropriately, or that the environment is no longer safe or suitable, I reserve the right to remove an animal from the session or end the event early.

​

If I need to end an event early for safety, animal welfare or any other reasonable concern, my decision will be final. No refund will be provided for time lost as a result of an event being ended early due to these circumstances.
